What Makes The Perfect Picnic Rug?

It Doesn’t Blow Away

Literally is there anything worse than a breeze tipping the sides of your rug up and toppling your wine? Or going straight into your dip? We wind-tested our rugs on the breeziest of days and can confirm they stand their ground - guaranteed you won’t be chasing one of these across the park.

Easy to Clean

Picnics are MESSY if you’re doing them right. A picnic rug is not a thing to be precious about - our rugs are built for spills. Take a damp cloth (or just a sleeve if you’re really relaxed) and spot clean any major spillage at the end of your picnic. Or, if you’re lazy like us, you can literally hose the rug down and leave it to dry in the sun. Washing machines aren’t highly recommended due to micro-plastics however a gentle, cold wash will not damage your rug.

Thick Enough

A good picnic should last from midday to sunset - hours of snacking and lying around. This is why you need MAXIMUM comfort factor to protect you from spikey grass, those tiny pebbles you get on some beaches and the odd stinging nettle here and there. As you may have guessed by the name - the Thicky Rugs are super luxurious and thick, a little slice of inside for outside for the ultimate outdoor lounging experience.

It Makes Your Memories Look Delicious

What are we doing when we’re not snacking, chatting and giggling at picnics? Taking photos! Let us give you the backdrop to your most delicious memories of the year - and share your picnic moments with your fellow Peek Neek pals on Instagram (@peekneekpals)
